Leadership and Founding Story
Richard M. Zelson
MyStream
Founder & CEO
Richard first envisioned MyStream® as a way for people to finally connect instantly, directly and wirelessly, to share live, real-life, experiences - and even make sharing headphones a thing of the past. Recognizing the opportunity to create new services and improve the way devices wirelessly connect and communicate, he assembled a team of advisors, investors and engineers and got to work.
After lots of R&D, MyStream® was born, successfully realizing Richard’s vision to both improve direct communications and create a new way for people to "Share Experiences, Not Headphones!™”. But sharing experiences turned out to be the tip of the iceberg. MyStream’s proprietary Frameworks actually unlock latent hardware capabilities, breaking debilitating bottlenecks that limit way modern devices communicate online and offline, every day.
Richard now holds seven (7) granted U.S. Patents protecting MyStream’s core innovations and capabilities, which can: exponentially improve wireless connectivity in crowded venues, unlock a new category of multiplayer games where players can move on all screens even when devices are otherwise offline, enhance emergency communications, efficiently expand broadband access, improve audio quality and clarity for Bluetooth®-powered hearing-aids and headphones, and more.
In 2024, Richard was invited to speak at U.S. President Clinton’s Foundation’s annual global summit, where MyStream was recognized for its ability to “dramatically improve society” with its industry leading innovations.
In 2025, Richard and MyStream were invited to join J.P. Morgan’s Innovation Accelerator.
Both Richard and MyStream have also been featured in the press, with MyStream being recognized as a “Leader & Success” by Investors Business Daily, “Great” by USA Today, and “Awesome” by Rolling Stone.
An active member of the entrepreneurial ecosystem, Richard has been a member of the Rolling Stone Culture Council, Nexus Global, the MIT Enterprise Forum of NY, Forbes Impact, the Young Entrepreneurs Council, and Clinton Global Initiative’s Greenhouse.
In addition to Richard’s activities at MyStream, Richard loves music, philosophy, nature, supporting the arts, playing and watching soccer, hockey, and squash, advising others and spending time with family and friends.
